Here you will find fillings / stuffings, elf sneakers and glasses, skis, curly hairs, safety eyes, and other little things that put the touch on your homemade teddy bears, dolls and elfs.
Elfs is not only related to Christmas. When you make them, it's a good idea to start in good time. Below you will find more things that can make your homemade elfs / teddy bears more complete. For example, you can give them glasses and nice Dutch shoes or let them go skiing.
Filling / Stuffing is almost indispensable. The homemade teddy bear or doll can be stuffed easily, for a nice soft teddy bear for the kids or it can be filled harder, so the teddy bears can sit by themselves and decorate at home. You can also find metal wires that can be used as buttress to the arms, legs and back, if the teddy bear or the animal should be able to sit or hang for decoration. Note that the metal wires rods are not recommended for toys or teddy bears for children.
There are also different types of eyes that can give your dolls and teddy beans a more personal touch. There are moving eyes that can either be glued or sewn fast. And then there is a safety eye in several colors.
For small children, it is recommended that you either embroider your eyes or use safety eyes. You should never sew buttons on because they are not durable. The safety eyes are especially suitable as they are locked to the back with a plastic lock and thus can not be moved by small curious fingers.
The black safety eyes is also often used for amigurumi, a Japanese term for small, crocheted animals or figures.
