Here you get a free crochet pattern for recyclable and environmentally friendly water balloons. The water balloons are super smart and save you from having to collect balloon leftovers in the garden after the water fight. After use, you can wash the water balloons and use them again the next time you have a water fight. The pattern is simple and can be followed by both beginners and experienced crochet. Good crocheting!  

Size

Approx. 10 x 5 cm

1 skein gives approx. 7 water balloons.

Materials

Velour yarn. Contains 100% polyester. Running length 100 g = approx. 620 m.

Yarn consumption: 1 skein of yarn for 7 water balloons. 

Crochet hook: 4.50 mm

Abbreviations

Ch = Chain stitch

dc = double crcohet

htr = Half treble crochet

tr = treble crochet

sl st = slip stitch

st = stitch

rk = row

*-* = repeat what is between the stars

Course of action

1. Rk 3 ch (3)

2. Round 8 rows in 3rd ch from the needle, join 1 km (8)

3. Round 2 ch, 2 tr in each st, join with 1 km (16)

4. Surround + 5th round 2 ch, size in each st, collect with 1 km (16)

6. Round 2 ch, * 2 dc * repeat * to * 8 times, collect with 1 km (8)

7. Round 2 ch, * 2 dc * repeat * to * 4 times, collect with 1 km (4)

8. Round 1 ch, 2 htrgm in every st, collect with 1 km (8)

Break the yarn and use the yarn end to tie the extra balloon a second time so that it looks like a balloon a little more.

Now the balloons are ready for use - enjoy!
