Instructions:

Back:

Cast on 109 (115) 121 (127) s on n no 3 and * knit 41 (41) 43 (43) n with fisherman’s rib stitch, knit 3 n stocking stitch *, repeat from *to*. Begin the fisherman’s rib stitch over again. Continue until you have knitted the fisherman’s’ rib 8 times (finish with a full fisherman’s rib piece). The back now measures approx. 56 (56) 61 (61) cm. Leave the work for now.

Front piece:

Knitted similarly to the back until the work measures 49 (49) 54 (54) cm. Cast off the middle 17 (17) 19 (19) s and knit the shoulders separately. In the neck side, you cast off 3 x 2 (3 x 2) 3 x 2 (3 x 2) s and 7 x 1 (10 x 1) 10 x 1 (13 x 1) s. There is now 33 (33) 35 (35) s left on the shoulder. Continue straight up until the piece has the same measurement as the back piece. Knit the other shoulder the same way. Lay the shoulder s from back and front piece together on the right side and knit through both while casting off.

Sleeves:

Measure 20 (20) 22 (22) cm down both sides of the shoulder seams and mark these 2 points. Knit up 89 (89) 97 (97) s on n no 3 along the sleeve edges between the 2 markers. * knit 41 (41) 43 (43) n with fisherman’s rib stitch, knit 3 n stocking stitch *, repeat from * to *. Start the fisherman’s rib stitch over again. Continue until you have knitted the fisherman’s rib 6 times (finish with a full fisherman’s rib stitch piece). Also, decrease 1 s on each side of every 12th n until you have 49 (49) 53 (53) s left. The sleeve now measures approx. 44 (44) 46 (46) cm. Knit * 1 K, 2 K tog * while casting off. Repeat from * to *, and finish with 1 K.

Neckline:

Knit up 136 (140) 144 (148) s on circular needle no 2.5 along the neckline incl the resting s from the back. Knit 5cm stocking stitch. Fold the neckline on the middle and sew it on the back.

Finishing:

Sew the side and sleeve seams together with mattress stitches.
