What you will need

Instructions

1.          Make a square (or another shape) with masking tape. The colour will only be added inside of the shape

2. Place a punched pocket over the square

3. On the punched pocket, use your markers to colour an area equal in size to the area you marked with tape.

4. Spray with water. The punched pocket should not be completely drenched but sprayed enough so that you see very visible water beads. If you don’t add enough water, the colours will not mix properly.

5. Wipe off any water outside the square with a paper towel

6. Carefully turn over the punched pocket so that the colour is transferred to the paper. Rub your hand lightly over the punched pocket to spread the colours around on the entire square.

7. Remove the punched pocket from the paper and pad off excess water with a paper towel

8. Allow the paper to dry off completely. Here you can benefit from using a hairdryer, and the paper will also not curl as much either. If it curls too much, you can press it once the paper is dry.

9. Sketch out your desired text using a pencil and draw over it with a marker. Erase the outlined sketch once the marker has dried up.

10. Peel off the tape

Tips:

- You can use all types of paper, but watercolour paper will give you the best results. It does, however, wear out the markers faster and makes them a little rough.

- If you choose to use, for example, ordinary printer paper, you can benefit from placing a punched pocket or plastic bag underneath the paper so that the water won’t soak through.
