Assembly/finishing

Please read this entire manual before you start the assembly. You start by sewing the inner mask to the outer mask, you use the turquoise yarn to sew them together. Place the inner mask so that you cannot see it on the outer mask. It is important that you do not sew all the way through, because then you will be able to see the stitches on the outside of the mask - see the picture guide. Cut a 45cm long ribbon and sew it onto each side while sewing on the inner mask. Before sewing the mask together entirely, you add a little bit of fibre filling in between the inner and outer mask – make sure not to stuff it too much.

Now sew on the ears, horns, teeth, nostrils and side horns. It might make it easier to place it correctly when you attach the mask securely with needles and then sew on one thing at a time. When all parts are sewn on, you embroider the 'closed eyes' on the mask. These are best made by measuring by the number of stitches so that they are placed with the same distance between them. Finally, you embroider gold stripes between the two horns.

The crochet pattern was made in collaboration with Ritohobby.co.uk and tested by Annika Schnack-Jensen and Louise Tarp Poulsen. I would like to express my thanks to the test-crocheters for the help and to Ritohobby.co.uk for giving me this opportunity.
