Instructions
Ida´s scrunchie is made by making stitches all the way around the elastic band. Push them close together, the more stitches you make - the more the elastic is able to stretch.
I make 35 double crochet stitches on this size elastic band. You finish the round of dc’s with a slip stitch.
You can also finish here, so you have a thick fur elastic band instead. You will just need to cut the yarn and weave in the ends.
1st round:
- 2 ch, followed by 3 inc in each stitch – finish the round with 1 sl st and weave in the ends.
You can’t see the stitches in the soft fur yarn, but you can easily feel them. It will take some getting used to, but you will quickly get the hang of it.
The benefit of the Crocus yarn is that it is easy to unravel if you should make a mistake. Unlike many other similar yarn types like this, the "fur" doesn't fall off.
