Size

Diameter: approx. 9 cm with ruffles.

Tools/Materials

• Elastic: Prym Baby Elastic 4.5mm – approx. 10cm
• Yarn: Shamrock Yarns 100% Cotton. Yarn length 50g = 175m.
• Knitting Needles: 3mm and 3.5mm, 60 or 80cm for knitting using the magic loop technique – or the needle size you need to match the right knitting tension.
• Knitting Tension: 26 s per 10cm

Yarn consumption

1 red skein of yarn (colour code 21)

1 white skein of yarn (colour code 02)

1 blue skein of yarn (colour code 09)

Abbreviations

s = stitch

K2tog = Knit 2 together

Instructions

Cast on 40 s on Needle 3 using red yarn. Work in the round following the diagram and change colour as instructed.

Once you finish the diagram, you twist the work wrong side out, fasten the blue and white strands, fold the elastic and insert it through the middle of the work.

Fold the work WS against WS and join the work with the cast-on edge (1 s from the row together with 1 s from the cast-on edge = K2tog).

Next round: *K1, 1 YO* – repeat the entire round.

Switch to Needle 3.5. Knit 1 round.

Loosely cast off. Fasten the remaining threads.
