Instructions

Cowl

Cast on 152 stitches with circular needle size 3.5 mm.

Knit one row back.

Insert a stitch marker and join the piece.

Work 8 cm rib 2 garter, 2 purl.

Work 8 cm stocking stitch.

Work 8 cm rib 2 garter, 2 purl.

On last row turn piece and cast off from the wrong side. Loosely cast off in garter stitch.

Tip: Cast off tip: If necessary increase the size of the needle, here to 4, so that it is easier to get a neat and even cast off.

Fasten ends - and remember to gather the small openings on first and last row.

Hat

Cast on 140 stitches with circular needle size 3.5 mm.

Knit one row back.

Insert a stitch marker and join the piece.

Work 8 cm rib 2 garter, 2 purl.

Work 8 cm stocking stitch.

Now begin the decreases:

Knit one round in garter.

Knit 1 round as follows: 1 garter, 2 garter together in the round.

Repeat these two rounds until 9 stitches remain. When the stitches can no longer be worked on circular needle, switch to double pointed needles.

Note: Not all rows end with 2 garter together, but this does not matter.

Break the yarn, put it on a needle and pull the needle through the 9 stitches and pull them together.

Fasten the ends - and remember to gather the small opening on the first row.

Have fun knitting.
