With this sheet you can make all kinds of things, such as brooches, earrings, dog tags, Christmas decorations, door signs and luggage tags. With colored pencils or a waterproof marker, you can write or draw directly on the foil. The clear foil must first be matted with a piece of very fine sandpaper. Soft felt-tip pens for painting can give a woolly appearance. Water-based colored pens are good for this application. Once the piece is finished, cut it out - do not twist the sheet as it can break.

The piece is then placed on a piece of tin foil and placed in the oven, which should be preheated to 150 degrees. After a short while, typically 1-4 minutes, the item will bulge and then flatten out again - then remove it. If the item becomes very wrinkled and sticks together, too much heat has been applied. This can be avoided by trying a small sample first. Immediately place a flat object over the item, but don't press! If air bubbles form in the item, it has been in the oven too long. You can easily make a mounting hole in the item before shrinking, but remember that it will shrink to one-ninth of its size.
