Each eye is made of black plastic and is shaped like a small screw. The screw itself measures 16 mm in diameter and has a pawl on the back, so the eye is 13 mm long. To install the eyelet, simply turn the screw down through your finished crochet project. Then click and clamp the locking mechanism at the back to secure the eyelet in place. This eliminates the need to sew on the eyes.
