Product description

The Prym Knitting Gauge allows for a lot of exciting creative projects. With the knitting iron you can make horse timber. This type of knitting is suitable for various decorative items such as bracelets, headbands or lanyards. The knitting iron is a fun and easy knitting tool that can get children and other creative souls started with needlework.

The knitting iron itself is shaped like a wooden tube. The tube itself measures approximately 9 cm in length and 1.5 cm in diameter. The size and shape of the knitting iron make it a pleasure to hold. Out of the hole in the middle comes the finished horsewood itself, which has a diameter of up to 10 mm. On top of the knitting head are four metal hoops. You wrap the yarn around these and use the wooden needle to knit the horsehair.

German Prym has over 100 years of experience in producing needlework tools. Quality and functionality at a reasonable price. You get a durable product. The Prym Knitting Iron makes it easy and fun for children to learn how to knit.

Instructions

Follow along on picture 2. Pass the end of the yarn needle down through the tube of the knitting iron so that about 15 cm of yarn protrudes from the bottom of the knitting iron. While holding the knitting needle itself in your left hand and the yarn itself in your right hand, wind the yarn itself around the first loop in a clockwise direction (1). Turn the knitting needle clockwise and wrap the yarn around the second loop (2). Continue (3) until you reach the first stitch (4). Press the yarn down well and let the yarn run over your first work on the first loop. Then take your needle and lift the bottom stitch over the hoop (see bottom picture). Repeat this motion until you have the desired length of horsehair. When you are ready to finish, cut the yarn off the knitting itself. Attach a sewing needle to the end of the yarn, and pass the sewing needle with the yarn through the stitch. Next, lift the stitch off the hoop itself. Turn the knitting needle clockwise and continue passing the eye through the next stitch and lifting it off the stitch itself until all stitches are lifted off the stitch. Now you can remove the horsehair from the knitting needle itself and tie a knot at the end of the needlework.
