What is needle felting?

Unlike traditional felting, where you use hot soapy water to felt the wool around your shape, when you filter with needles, the wool is always dry. The long needles are used to poke the felt, owling and blending it together until you get the solid surface and shape you want.

It's an enjoyable hobby and far less messy than traditional felting, while you have more say in how a final shape turns out because you can see and feel the final result all the time.
