The diagram below illustrates the first 4x4 squares of the pattern. Therefore, the total number of stitches (the horizontal lines) and the total number of rows (the vertical lines) are not illustrated in a diagram.

White: 1 ch to skip 1 s

Grey: 1 tr

Black: 1 BO

Crochet pattern with photo guide

Cast on 126 ch. Turn with 2 ch and start the next row in the 4th stitch from the crochet hook.

Photo guide: Turning for 1st rw.

1.-9. rw : 14 tr, ”1 ch, skip 1 s, 15 tr” x 7 (127) - 9 rows

Photo guide: ”1 ch, skip 1 s and then make 1 tr in the next s”

Photo guide: You turn each row with 2 ch, and you then begin the next row in the 4th stitch from the crochet hook (the two ch replace the first tr):

10. rw : You start the row with 3 ch and you make the first tr in the 6th stitch from the crochet hook. Then you crochet ”1 ch, skip 1 s, 1 tr” x 6.
The rest of the row you repeat the following 8 times: 1 BO in the ch curve from the previous row, ” 1 tr, "1 ch, skip 1 s, 1 tr" x 7 (127)

Photo guide 10th rw:

1. Begin the row with 3 ch and then crochet 1 tr in the 6th stitch from the crochet hook.
2. ”1 ch, skip 1 s, 1 tr” x 6

3. 1 BO in the ch-curve from the previous row you make 1 BO (this is made with 6 unfinished tr = you have 7 loops on your hook)

4. ” 1 tr, "1 ch, skip 1 s, 1 tr" x 7

You then repeat row 1-10 until you have 109 rows (so, the last row of the blanket is made without bobble stitches). You should count 11 squares on the blanket’s long side.

Note that when you crochet on from the 10th row, you should crochet into the chain stitches (and not around them).

Edge

You finish the baby blanket by crocheting 3 rounds of dc all the way around. In the corners, you crochet 2 dc in the same stitch 3 stitches in a row. You finish the edge 1 sl st and weave in all ends.
