Free Pacifier Strap crochet pattern

Are you losing your pacifier all the time or are you in a need of a present for a baby? Then this will be the right project for you. It is an easy project, which is good for beginners. You get the instructions for pacifiers, which need an adapter and for the ones that does not need an adapter.

Size

Approximately 22 cm long and 4 cm wide

Materials

• 4 g. Infinity Hearts Rose 8/4
• 1 Pacifier clip
• Possibly 1 adapter
• Hook size 3 mm
• Darning needle

Abbreviation

s = stitch

rd = round

r = row

ns = next stitch

ch = chain

dc = double crochet

tr = treble

* - * = specifies what to repeat and how many times

Instructions

Fasten the yarn to the clip as a dc

Crochet 5 dc in the clip, turn with 1 ch

Crochet 1 dc in each st, turn with 1 ch. Continue like this until your pacifier strap is 10 cm long including the clip – this is for me 34 rs

Fasten off

Now it is time for the rim. Here there is a different if you are going to use an adapter or not.

With adapter

Fasten your yarn in the bottom right corner of the on the back of the clip. Crochet 1 dc in this s.

*Skip 1 s and make 4 tr in the ns, skip 1 s and make 1 dc in the ns* repeat up the side until you have 5 s left.

Crochet 1 dc on the next 4 s, crochet 3 dc in the corner, crochet 1 dc in the next 3 s, crochet 3 dc in the corner, crochet 1 dc in the next 5 dc.

*Skip 1 s and make 4 tr in the ns, skip 1 s and make 1 dc in the ns* repeat down the side.

Fasten off and weave in the ends.

Now it is time to sew on the adapter. Put the end of the pacifier strap into the adapter, so you sew on the back of the strap, as the picture below.

Sew the end and weave in the end.

Without adapter

Fasten your yarn in the bottom right corner of the on the back of the clip. Crochet 1 dc in this s.

*Skip 1 s and make 4 tr in the ns, skip 1 s and make 1 dc in the ns* repeat up the side until you have 2 s left. Crochet 1 dc on the last 2 s.

Ch 12, which is the circle the pacifier is going to be fixed to.

Hook the ch to the opposite corner of the pacifier strap with 1 dc.

Crochet 2 dc down the side.

*Skip 1 s and make 4 tr in the ns, skip 1 s and make 1 dc in the ns* repeat down the side.

Fasten off and weave in the ends.
