For this snowflake, you need to crochet bobble stitches. Bobble stitches are made like this:
Yarn around the needle, insert the needle through the underlying stitch and pick up the yarn, make sure to stretch the strand a little – yarn over and pick up a new strand in the same underlying stitch and stretch – do this one more time. So a total of 3 times, there are now 7 stitches on the needle.
Yarn over and pull the needle through all 7 stitches on the needle and finish with a ch - you have now made a bobble stitch.
Instructions
Make 7 ch and join with a sl st
6 bobble stitches in the ring, between each bobble you make 3 ch
Finish the round with sl st in the first bobble stitch
dc, htr, tr, tr, htr, dc around the chain and make a sl st over the bobble stitch – repeat all the way around
4 ch, tr in dtr from the previous round, 4 ch, sl st over the bobble stitch - repeat all the way around
