Instructions
Start by marking little holes on the manilla tag. They should be made 0.5cm down from the egde and 0.5cm apart. Use a large needle for making the holes. The better the holes fit the crochet hook - the easier it will be to crochet through them.
Start in the middle hole at the side with the orginal tag hole and attach the yarn and make a double crochet. Make a ch and a dc in the next hole, around the corners you make 2 ch between the dc’s.
When you reach the other end with the 90-degree corner, you make:
1 dc – 2 ch – 1 dc – 2 ch – 1 dc
You then continue all the way around and join with a sl st.
Make a dc around the chain, and a dc in the next s
Make 5 tr in s on the middle of the little egde and make a sl st in the next dc – continue all the way around. Finish with sl st and weave in ends. You are making shell stitches around the manilla tag.
Cut yarn and weave in ends.
