What is masking tape?

Hobby craft supplies and materials often have various different names. This is also the case with masking tape, which is sometimes known as e.g. decorative tape. As the name suggests, the special tape is used when you want to make neat and stylish designs and finishes.

It could be for something like decorating a room for a party, decorating invitations and cards, decorating for your Bullet Journal or various other purposes.

It is basically only your imagination that sets the limits of what you can use the tape for.

Worth knowing about tape for decorations

Masking tape differs from classic tape in several ways. Decorative tape is less adhesive and available in many colours. The latest product versions are made with pattern designs or ornaments and statements.

The tape can be used for both creative and practical purposes. Perhaps you and your classmates have a lot of the same books. You can then cut a piece of the stylish tape and put it on the book cover so it will stand out and be easier for you to recognize. You can do the same for your binders, journals, reading books, diaries, jars, glasses and lots of other materials.

Kids love using the creative tape to add a personal touch to a book or a diary.

If you are decorating for a party, the tape can also be of great use. You can use it for e.g. taping the paper tablecloth under the table or taping balloons to the wall or the window.

In either case, masking tape is the solution.

Decorate personalised cards, invitations and drawings

When sending out invitations to a party, the invitations do not have to be boring or traditional. With the decorative tape, you can create the most beautiful designs that match the place cards at the party.

If your children want to make drawings as gifts, they can use the tape to give them the last finish.

Masking tape is available in many sizes and thicknesses, and you can mix and match them however you like.
