To create volume for the body, you now crochet 8 rounds of 54 dc.
Cut the yarn, but leave a long tail for sewing on the belly.
Embroider the whale's eyes in the 6th round from the bottom up. You use the charcoal colour for the eyes.
Now you sew the belly onto the body, sew in the front and back loop – before you finish sewing all the way around, you need to stuff the whale with fibrefill.
Weave in the end.
You now make the fins and the tail. Here, you also use the navy blue colour.
The fins – make 2
Make 7 chain stitch, start in the second stitch from the hook and make 6 tr – cut the yarn, but leave a long tail for sewing on the fin.
The tail
Make 9 chain stitches, start in the second stitch from the hook and make 7 tr – and a sl st in the last ch.
Make 8 chain stitches, start in the second sticth from the hook and make 7 tr – and a sl st in the same ch as the previous sl st.
Now, you sew on the tail. Weave in the ends.
