Materials

Yarn

Infinity Hearts Snowdrop.

Material: 100% wool

Yarn length: 50 grams = approx. 50 metres.

Yarn consumption

200g (250g)

Knitting tension:

17 stitches x 19 rows, in 2x2 cable ribbing stitch = 10x10cm.

Needles:

5mm Circular needle 40 and 80cm and a 5mm cable- or double pointed needle

Or the knitting needle you need to match the right knitting tension.

Pattern - 2x2 cable ribbing stitch:

You knit the neck warmer back and forth in 2x2 rib. This means that you knit two knit stitches (K) and then two purl stitches (P). You knit the cable ribbing over 4 (K) stitches using a cable needle. You make neat edges by slipping the first stitch (on each row) purlwise with yarn in front, and you finish with K1 (on each row).

Example for swatch:

Cast on 23 stitches on a 5mm needle.

Needle 1 (WS): Slip 1 purlwise with yarn in front of the work, *P2, K2, P4, K2 * repeat from * to * until you have 3 s left on the needle. P2, K1

Needle 2 (RS): Slip 1 purlwise with yarn in front of the work, *K2, P2, K4, P2 * repeat from * to * until you have 3 s left on the needle. K3

Knit Needle 1 and Needle 2 two times. Then knit Needle 1 one time. So 5 rows in total.

Needle 3 (RS): Slip 1 purlwise with yarn in front of the work, *K2, P2, 2 s on a cable needle in back, K2, K2 on the cable needle (over to the circular needle, this way, you create the ‘twisted’ cable rib), P2. * repeat from * to * until you have 3 s left on the needle. K3

Repeat instructions above

Increases:

Inc r: Using the left needle you pick up the loop between two stitches from the back and K.

Inc l: Using the left needle you pick up the loop between two stitches from the back and K twisted.
