Cut the yarn, weave the last 4 stitches together - fasten off and cut
Wings
Use white - you make 2 wings
Crochet 11 ch
- Start in the second stitch from the hook
- 2 slip stitches
- 2 double crochet stitches
- 2 half treble stitches
- 2 treble stitches
- 1 double treble stitch
- 9 double treble stitches in the last stitch
Turn and do the same on the other side
- 1 double treble stitch
- 2 treble stitches
- 2 half treble stitches
- 2 double crochet stitches
- 2 slip stitches
Cut the yarn, but leave a long tail – make another wing
Sew the wings together before sewing them on the bee.
Fasten off the one end from the chain stitch row, the other end you bring to the side, so you can use it for sewing them together.
Sew the stitches from the double treble stitch and down to the chain stitches.
Sew the wings onto the bee over the colour changes, use the yarn tail from the bottom of the wing and sew up along the side and down in the middle. Fasten off and sew the other wings the same way. Leave the tip of the wing free to add some ’life’ to it.
Use approx. 30cm of black yarn to embroider eyes on the bee’s head.
Legs
Use black
Crochet 3 chain stitch rows with 10 ch
Sew on the legs by the 3 black rings on the bee’s body.
