18cm from pacifier to clip

Materials

• Yarn: 1 skeins of Infinity Hearts Baby Merino
• Accessories: Clip for pacifier strap, 2 fitting buttons approx. 12mm
• Knitting needles: 3mm double-pointed knitting needles

Instructions

Cast on 8 stitches on 3mm double-pointed needles. 2 stitches per needle.

Knit 2cm before making a buttonhole (K1, 1 yo, K2 together)

Continue to work up 1cm.

You now cast on 8 stitches evenly so that you have 4 stitches per needle.

Start the bobble pattern.

Round 1-5: Knit stocking stitch

Round 6:  K3 *count 5 stitches down and then knit this stitch, slip the stitch off the needle, K3* continue this throughout the round.

Round 7-11: Knit stocking stitch

Round 12: K1 *count 5 stitches down and then knit this stitch, slip the stitch off the needle, K3* continue this throughout the round.

Tip: You can watch the video that the designer has posted on her Instagram @strikkestinea to see how she knits the bobble pattern if you find it a little difficult.

Follow the bobble pattern until you have knitted 18cm from the buttonhole. The work is now approx. 21cm.

Now work K2tog for the entire round until you have 2 stitches per needle.

Now work 2cm stocking st, make a buttonhole in the same way as you did at the beginning, work 1cm stocking st and cast off.

NOTE! Remember that you can make the buttonholes on the same side. You choose for yourself where you want to make them.

Finishing

Attach the threads at each end. Sew the buttons on so that they fit with the buttonholes.

You now insert one end into the clip and attach the buttonhole to the slot.

At the other end, you do the same but attach the pacifier.
