Pattern
Co 44 s on circular needle 10 mm.
Work stockinette stitch in the round until the work measures 25 cm.
On the next rnd, 4 sm are placed with an interval of 11 s between them.
On the next 9 rnds, work 1 dec-left after each of the 4 sm. Change to double pointed needles when the work becomes too small to be worked on the circular needle (alternatively, use the Magic Loop technique).
Now 8 s remain. Pull the thread through the 8 s and pull tight to bind off.
Now work the i-cord edge at the top of the bag.
Pick up 44 s from the cast on edge. Make an i-cord all way round
by casting on 4 s at the end of the 44 picked up s. K 3 s and k 2 s tog tbl. Now place the 4 s back on the left needle. Again, k 3 s and k 2 s tog tbl. Repeat throughout the rnd. See technique elaboration above.
Handle:
The handles are also worked as i-cords with 4 s.
Make 2 handles
like this: Co 4 s with double pointed needle size 10 mm.
Place the yarn behind the work and k the s. Repeat until the handle has reached the desired length.
Mine are 40 cm long.
Seaming/Finishing:
Stitch the i-cord handles onto the edge of the bag. Make sure to place them opposite each other above
the decreases at the bottom.
Weave in all ends and wash the bag. We would love for you to share pictures of your work with #fyldmigoptaske @krea_lea @ritokrea
