Measurements:

Approx 16 cm in diameter

Material:

• Yarn: Infinity hearts Orchid 100% Bamboo. Length: 50 g = 185 m 
• Elastic band: Prym Baby Elastic approx 20 cm, or a regular elastic hairband
• Needles: Circular needle 3 mm, 40 cm – or the size YOU need to get the right gauge. It may come in handy to have a smaller needle size (3 mm or smaller) at hand to pick up stitches when the scrunchie is knitted together in the end.
• Gauge: Approx 26 s = 10 cm.

Yarn quantity:

• 1 skein of Infinity Hearts Orchid, col 01 White.

Abbreviations

s = stitch(es)

rnd(s) = round(s)

ps = place stitch marker

rw = row(s)

rn = right needle

ln = left needle

k2tog = knit 2 s together

p = purl

SSK = slip 2 s separately as if you were to knit them and knit them together through the back loop

Pattern

Co 100 s with needle 3 mm.

Ps to mark the beginning of the rnd.

K 20 rnds, p 1 rnd, k 3 rnds.

Work in the round according to the chart.

Once the chart is completed, turn the work so that the WS faces out, fix the cast on thread on the WS, tie the elastic band and pull it to the middle of the work.

Alternatively, you can use a regular elastic hairband.

Fold the work, WS facing WS, and knit the work together with the cast on edge (1 s from the needle together with 1 s from the cast on edge = k2tog).

Work rows 14-17 one more time.

Bo knitwise.

Weave in all ends.
