Free guide on how to make a leather strap keychain

On this page we show you how to make unique keychain with a leather strap and embossing stamp. The embossing stamp allows you to easily decorate the leather strap with numbers and/or letters, giving the ornament a personal touch of your own design. Read our free guide and let your imagination run wild!

You will need:

Procedure:

Cut about 20 cm off your leather strap. Set the pliers to a hole size that fits the rivets. Make a hole in the ends of the leather strap about 0.5 cm from both ends. Make an additional hole at one end about 4 cm into the strap.

Fold the leather strap so that all three holes are facing each other and the leather strap overlaps at the back. Pass the leather strap through the key ring before hammering the rivets together.

Place your leather key ring face up. Find the centre and place the first embossing stamp. Hammer gently - not too hard - as this can leave round marks from the embossing stamps. Place the next stamp before moving the first to make sure the letters line up nicely.

As well as using the neat leather strap as a keyring, there are other wonderful ways you can use the leather keyring. For example, you can use the embossed leather strap as a napkin ring/table card and at the same time give a small present to all your guests.

Enjoy!
