Product description
The Pony Split Knitting Chisel is a fun crafting tool for children, youngsters and adults alike. Especially for children who want to learn how to knit, a Knitting Chisel can be a perfect beginner project. If you are experienced, the Knitting Iron can be a fun alternative in needlework. The knitting needle is used to make horsehair.
The knitting iron itself is made of plastic. It is shaped like a tube or a body, which is 8 cm long and a head of 3 cm in diameter. The hole through the tube has a diameter of 1,5 cm. On the head there are 12 holes for either 12 nails or 6 hoops. It is available in assorted colours.
The Pony Split Knitting Chisel has the unique feature that the body of the knitting chisel can be easily separated into two parts. This allows you to decorate wires with horsehair. With the cord through the knitting iron, you can now knit around the cord. Three elastic rings are included to hold the Knitting Iron body together. For example, you can decorate cords for a computer mouse or headphones (see picture 3).
The knitting iron contains:
Knitting doll
12 metal stitches
6 hangers
3 elastic rings
1 hook to knit with

Instructions
On unpacking you will find the four parts of the kit; knitting doll, hook, three elastic rings, 12 stitches and 6 hoops. Typically, you start by attaching either 4, 6, 8 or 12 stitches to the head of the knitting needle or 4 or 6 hoops. The number of stitches or hoops depends on the thickness of the yarn. The hoops are best suited for thicker yarns because the stitches can become larger and looser (1.). Once you have fitted the seams or loops, you can start. Insert the end of the yarn loop through the tube of the knitting needle so that about 15 cm of yarn is sticking out of the bottom of the needle (2.). If you are knitting around a cord, you can now separate the knitting needle tube itself. The cord can now be inserted into the knitting needle itself (3). Then close the knitting iron with the three elastic rings (4.). While holding the knitting needle in your left hand and the yarn in your right hand, wrap the yarn itself around the first stitch in a clockwise direction (5.). Turn the knitting needle clockwise and wrap the yarn around the second stitch. Continue this until you reach the first stitch (6.). Press the yarn down well and let the yarn run over your first work. Then take your hook and lift the bottom stitch over the seam. Repeat this motion until you have the desired length of horsehair (7.). When you are ready to finish, cut the yarn off the knitting itself. Attach a sewing needle to the end of the yarn and pass the sewing needle with the yarn through the stitch. Next, lift the stitch off the stitch itself. Turn the knitting needle clockwise and continue passing the eye through the next stitch and lifting it off the stitch itself until all stitches have been lifted off the stitch (8). Now you can remove the horsehair from the knitting needle itself and tie a knot at the end of the handwork.
