Another nice, colourful and fun design from Danish Infinity Hearts that will give even the most inexperienced knitter a run for their money. The little machine is semi-automatic and can produce cute and wonderful knitted tubes in all lengths and colours.
It's both easy to make and a fun project for adults and children of all ages.
What can you make with an Infinity Hearts Knitting Mill?
Maybe you know the old Knitting Loom, which in the old days was used to make yards of horsehair in different colours and thicknesses? The principle behind a knitting mill is pretty much the same, except you don't have to move your stitches with a crochet hook, the machine does that for you when you turn the handle.
So when you turn the handle, a fine knitted tube comes out of the machine, which can be used for whatever exciting ideas you come up with. Our favourites are definitely:
Knitted hats
With your penguin knitting mill, you can knit exciting hats in all the colours of the rainbow and all you need is: yarn, knitting mill, needle and scissors. Once you have knitted your tube to the right length, cast off the stitches by pulling the yarn through with the needle. Pull up the last yarn on the wrong side and fasten thoroughly. Now you have a home knitted hat.
Knitted pillowcases
If you choose a soft and lovely yarn, you can knit really cosy cushion covers for the decorative cushions on your sofa or bed. It's really simple and all you need to do is knit a tube of the right length, which is then sewn together at both ends with the desired cushion inside.
