Each snap consists of 4 parts, which should be placed in pairs on each side of your fabric. You can put the star-shaped part on the outside, so it looks nice on your project. This will make the inside smooth and therefore not bother the skin, for example, if your project is clothing. The last two parts are the ones to be clicked together. The parts must fit correctly in the pliers so that they are not pressed together incorrectly.
