Then you simply take your new blockers and attach the project to the mat in the shape you want it. It's that simple.

KnitPro Blockers 2 sizes work much like T-pins, but provide greater stability and uniformity in blocking, making it easier and faster for you. Each blocker has 4 or 8 pins, which are what hold the project in place. This means that with one movement you can put in 4 or 8 needles at the same time, where with T-pins you have to put in each one individually. For larger projects or projects with long sides, KnitPro Blockers are perfect. But you can also use them for projects with a wavy or detailed edge, for example.

The pack contains two sizes of blockers. There are 12 blockers with 8 pins and 8 blockers with 4 pins. This gives you the pins and sizes you need for any project. The large blockers measure approximately 7.2 cm in length, are 0.5 cm wide and measure from top to pin tip approximately 4.5 cm. The smaller blockers measure approximately 3.6 cm in length, are 0.5 cm wide and also measure approximately 4.5 cm from top to needle tip.

The blocks are made of strong plastic and the needles are made of stainless steel. This makes for good, durable blockers that won't break or rust when they come into contact with wet crochet or knitting fabric. The needles are very sharp, which makes it easy for you to attach them to the blocking mat.

Instructions

Knit or crochet your project as usual. Soak your finished project in tap water for about 30 minutes. Squeeze out some of the water with your hands without wringing. Spread the project out on the blocking mat. Use the blocks at the edge of the project by pressing them through the project and into the mat.

For straight edges, place the blocks about 7.5 cm apart or closer together, depending on the project.

For projects with detailed edges (e.g. wavy, jagged), you can use the holes in the blocks to make a straight edge you can start from when blocking. Measure a piece of yarn to about 1.5 times the length of the side you want to block and tie it into a hole on a small blocker. Attach this blocker to a corner of the project and secure it to the mat. Thread the other end of the yarn onto a needle and pass the needle with the yarn through the edge of the side of the project (e.g. at the tips of the branches). Stop when you reach the corner. Loosely attach this end of the yarn to another small blocker and the blocks for the project and mat. Keep the yarn loose until you have laid the project out so it is straight. Then tighten the yarn and attach it to the blocker. You can now put the blockers in the project along the straight line of the yarn and get a stringy result.
