Infinity Hearts Wool Winder for Yarn Blue/White 18x9x13,5cm

Have you bought yarn to be wound up, ie come in so-called hank or skein, you need a wool winder. That way, you get the hank or skein turned into a yarn cone that you can easily knit with. It may also be that you have tied up a knitting project and need to wind back the yarn into a core ball of yarn. Wool winders for yarn are a lot faster than you can wind it in hand. Yarn balls or skeins that have been spun up by a wool winder are also called a (yarn) cake. These have the added benefit, pulling the yarn both from the center and from the outside of the yarn winder is possible, whatever you prefer.

The wool winder measures 14 cm (length), 8.5 cm (width) and 14 cm (height). It is made of plastic, which is dark blue and white. The handle itself is made of metal and has a dark blue plastic handle. The little eye for yarn is also made of metal, like the wrench that holds the wool winder at the table.

It is easy to mount and use. Be careful to tighten the wrench too hard on the edge of the table. The wool winder fits tables which is up to 4.5 cm thick. You get a wool winder that is easy to use and is cheap.

The package includes a user guide in English. Please note that it does not belong to this exact model, but it is more general. 

Mounting

In the package, you will find the actual wool winder and the clip/wrench for mounting on the table. The clamp is inserted into the hole just below the handle. Then you can tighten the yarn winder to the table with the wrench by turning the screw counterclockwise. If you want to dismount the appliance, turn the screw clockwise. Now you're ready to wind yarn and wool.

Application

Find your yarn and take the tip of the yarn. Now wrap the yarn around the metal eye. Then wrap the yarn a few times clockwise around the spindle and attach the yarn to the two small gaps or engraved in the turntable at the bottom of the spindle (see Figure 2). With one hand, hold the yarn a bit tight just before the small eyelet, while turning the handle clockwise on the wool winder. Slowly turn the handle until the yarn cone is properly started.
